Over 1,100 Shrewsbury Town Fans to Pack Tranmere Away End
More than 1,100 Shrewsbury Town fans are set to pack out the away end at Tranmere Rovers for the team's League Two opener. The fans have snapped up tickets for the trip to Prenton Park in their numbers, with approximately 250 tickets left.
Shrewsbury Town will be looking to build on their season-opening penalty shoot-out victory at Salford City last weekend. The team will be hoping to serve as the 12th man and help Shrewsbury to victory in their first league outing.
Why it Matters for Shrewsbury
Boss Gavin Cowan recently spoke about how the backing from Salop supporters is one of his favourite things about being manager of the club. He was able to celebrate with the travelling fans - and in front of a packed-out away end - at Salford last weekend after their Carabao Cup victory.
Shrewsbury visit Tranmere where they lost 4-0 in their first away league game of last season, and they will be hoping for a very different outcome this time around. Next fixture: vs Oldham (away, 2027-02-27) (8th in the table).
