Shrewsbury Town Football Club has seen a pitch invader banned from attending any football match for three years. Daniel Perkins pleaded guilty to possession of class A drugs and going onto the pitch at a Shrewsbury Town FC match in January 2025.

Perkins, 30, was handed a three-year football banning order (FBO) at Telford Magistrates Court. The banning order means Perkins cannot attend any football match in the UK and will be unable to travel abroad when England are playing away.

PC Chris Rayment, the force’s dedicated football officer for Shrewsbury Town FC, said: “Football is enjoyed by many people from all ages and backgrounds, including young children.”
