Kidderminster Harriers Secure Loan Deal for Shrewsbury Town Striker Callum Stewart
Kidderminster Harriers have bolstered their squad by signing striker Callum Stewart on loan from League Two side Shrewsbury Town. The move sees Stewart return to the National League, where he previously played and was transfer-listed at the start of the summer.
Background on Stewart's Move
Stewart joined Shrewsbury in January 2025 after a stint with National League clubs Brackley Town and Aldershot Town. During his time with Shrewsbury, he made 15 appearances in League One and five in League Two during the 2024/25 season.
Gavin Cowan, who now manages Kidderminster Harriers, was Stewart's previous manager at Brackley Town. Cowan revealed that Stewart had attracted interest from several National League clubs over the summer, leading to this loan move with Kidderminster.
Preparing for the New Campaign
The 24-year-old striker is set to join Kidderminster until November 7th, just as the club prepares to defend their promotion back to the fifth tier. Kidderminster secured their return to the National League North play-offs last season and are looking to build on that success.
Stewart's experience in both the National League and higher divisions will be valuable for Harriers as they aim to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
